Little Bit Frustrated

The scale has not budged this week except for this morning when it went up a half pound. I know that it doesn't really count until my Monday weigh-in, but it's still frustrating. Psychologically, I want to cut my calories back. Logically, that doesn't make sense. In fact, I wonder if I restricted my calories too much to begin with and now I am feeling the effects of screwing around with my metabolism. On the other hand, I have been putting in the exercise. 1-2+ of cardio every day. Weight lifting 3 days a week. In the end, it's not really about the scale number. It's about being as ready as I possibly can be for this marathon. The less weight I am lugging for 26.2 miles, the better off I will be.

The scale doesn't move for me until after about 6-7 days of diet and exercise so don't worry!

Great job!! I just started running myself!

I'm worried about the calorie restriction you're trying for the marathon. I just wonder which is better: carrying your current weight and having enough energy to do so, or carrying less weight and possibly not having enough energy to do so. You are always so careful, so there's no reason for me to think you won't continue to be. Anyway, you lost like five pounds last week so a half pound gain is still a pretty good net loss over the past two weeks.

Hi! I randomly found your blog and wanted to to tell you congrats on your healthier living! I hope that you don't focus too much on the weight gain though. I notice myself feeling great about working out and then when I weigh myself and I don't see the results I wanted I get depressed. I have been trying to not even weigh myself anymore, and just focus on my work out goals.
