Week 22 Weigh-In

This morning the scale read 310.4 lbs. This is 2.4 lbs. less than last week for a total of 69.6 lbs. lost. My body fat measurement is 33.1% which is the same as last week. This means I have 207.7 lbs of lean (-1.6) and 102.7 lbs of fat (-0.8). My waist is the same at 55.25 inches.

BooYah! I hit another goal. My BMI is now 39.9 which means I am severely obese rather than morbidly obese. Once I get down below 35 BMI I will be just plain old obese. That will happen when I reach 272 lbs. or when I lose 48.4 more lbs. However, "obese" is not a nice sounding word no matter the abdjective in front of it or lack thereof.

My mood is not much better, but I think that it's mostly anxiety about trying to take care of my dad's stuff while trying to take care of things here for the upcoming child (less than a month away) AND trying to arrange things to move down to my dad's house. On the other hand, I am still highly motivated to continue my journey of fitness.

Perseverance is more prevailing than violence; and many things which cannot be overcome when they are together, yield themselves up when taken little by little. - Plutarch

I guess you mean "now 39.9" rather than "not 39.9".

That's a great marker to cross.

When you reach 308lbs you'll have dropped below 140kg, and when you get to 307lbs you drop below 22 stone (14lbs in a British Stone).

Being below 40 bmi was a major deal for me. Congratulations. Also, you are going to hit the 70 lb loss soon and joining the 200 lb club soon. The milestones really keep you focussed. Good Job!!!!!

Kim - Thanks for the correction. The metric and British measurements provide some other milestones.

Spidey - Thank you, now get moving before I catch up!

Christine - Thanks

Sayre - Thank you. I am trying to get a better idea of what type of weight I am losing.

Captain - Trust me, I see those things on the horizon. Thanks for the encouragement.

Woohoo! Congratulations on achieving such an accomplishment!

It’s too bad about your mood. It sounds like you’re doing too much, and that can sap the joy out of life. I wonder if there’s anyway you can delegate some responsibility to another family member regarding your father? Or reach out for help from friends or family? With a baby coming, I’m sure they’ll be happy to pitch in.

Sayre - Thank you. I have been trying to get them help, but it's like pulling teeth. I now understand why my parents left me in charge rather than my sibling, all of whom are older than me by at least 7 years.

Great loss :o)
You are doing soooo well!
Can you list what you'd eat on an average day?
Do you know if the baby is a boy or girl? Or are you leaving that a surprise?

Cactus - This post has a sample of what I eat. http://journeyoffitness.blogspot.com/2007/05/sample-of-what-i-eat.html

Keep in mind I normally do an hour of cardio every day and weight train 4 days a week.

As far as the baby goes, we don't peek, but since we already have 4 girls, I expect this one will be a girl too.
