Ten Months Later

Bah, I feel terrible that I have neglected this blog. The fact is that I had to let other priorities take precedent over this blog. However, I will give a little run down of the past 10 months.

July 4th, dad died.

Late July, my 2 oldest completed a kid's triathlon as well as showed and sold lambs in 4h

Mid-August, I completed another sprint Triathlon. I did well.

Mid-September, I completed and olympic distance Triathlon. This was a lot tougher than I thought it would be.

I ran a few races since then. Last one was in January.

Summer and fall were spent working on dad's house and selling it.

Now working on his second house. Hope to sell it quickly.

I signed up for another marathon, but Achilles' tendinitis has sidelined me on that endeavor. It's just not healing. I am going to get some laser treatment or something this week. Not quite sure what that is all about.

This winter, exercise slowed down quite a bit, healthy eating went down the tubes bit by bit, weight was gained which I am sure contributed to my injury.

I have made several efforts to get back on track. I need to review my blog and get back to the mindset of Living Fit being my #1 Job!

Thanks for all the inquiries and good wishes. I make no promises as to when I will post again.

Living Fit Is My #1 Job!

Good to see you back! I can really understand how LIFE can interfere with what you're doing. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. My condolences. I'm sure that's put a huge crimp in your fitness plans, both emotionally and in terms of time away from it to deal with Dad's aftermath.

That Achilles tendonitis is a bear. I was laid up all weekend with that, but constant icing seems to have eased it quite a bit. I don't mess around with tendons... Mine tear far too easily and once they're torn, they don't repair unless it's surgically. That's why I stop and ice as SOON as I feel a twinge. So far so good...

Hope to see you around more!

Welcome back :)

Sorry to hear of your father.

As Sayre says, we all know how life can get in the way of us heading in the direction we were planning. But the important thing is you are making steps to bring things back into your control.

Wishing you all the best,

Kim :)

First, so sorry to hear of your dad's death. I know how hard his illness was on you but losing him must have been devastating.

Secondly, so happy that you've resurfaced to at least let us know what's been happening. I've though about you from time to time and wondered how you were. I dropped the blogging weight loss effort for about a year and some but am back now with a vengence.

I hope you start blogging again but more importantly I hope you make the time to make Living Fit your #1 job again. You've worked too hard and made too much progress to slip back now.

Good luck with the laser treatment and hope to see you around.
